Our Founder

Remell Bryant is a native of Gary, IN where she graduated from Emerson School
for the Visual and Performing Arts, majoring in Orchestra and playing the cello.
She later graduated from Voorhees College, an HBCU in Denmark, SC where
she acquired a Bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Post college she
was a steelworker for 15 years, during which she found her passion for organizing. Remell served as a Trustee for the NWI Chapter of A. Phillip Randolph Institute, Vice Chair of Indiana's CD-1 Young Democrats, and as a delegate for the Indiana Democratic Party's Convention. She completed the Chicago Federation of Labor's Organizing Institute training and Arena's 201 Leadership training.

After many years of union and community organizing, she took a position with the
Indiana Democratic Party as their Regional Organizing Director covering 30
counties in the northern region of Indiana. Most notably during her tenure, she
worked a coordinated campaign to to re-elect Indiana’s 1st District Congressman
Frank Mrvan and Fort Wayne’s mayor Tom Henry. Most recently, she completed
an election cycle with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee
(DCCC), as their Black Engagement District Director, not only contributing to a third term win for Congressman Mrvan who was nationally targeted by Republican's, but also expanding the margins.
